Bronze Oak
Population: 2,530Located a good three days ride from the Capital, Bronze Oak is a very young and industrial city of Valikorlia. It contains a wide variety of citizens and maintains a high economy thanks to the nearby sea port of Alemia. It is not unusual to find traveling sorcerers, artisans, or merchants in the local taverns or inns, as the road west is one of the only safe routes of transportation in the area.The locals of Bronze Oak tend to be offspring of earlier traders or soldiers who decided to settle down in the country, rather than take up residence in the bustling capital nearby. It is for this reason, that many military institutions were founded in the town in previous years; many soldiers are trained in the local barracks located in the outskirts of town, where they are later deployed in war vessels that depart from Alemia. In more recent times, the Court of the Magi has placed a "school" in the heart of Broze Oak. However, many beleive that the institution is more of a means talent scouting, rather than a school; as most students who prove adept at the arcane arts are later transfered to other academies in the Capital.
Even though there are many shops, schools, and activities to do in Bronze Oak, many adventurers have taken advantage of the city's location, and have founded a guild for adventurers known as the Guild of Wayward Souls. It is here that many locals go to find work when there are slow months in the industries productivity. Often, the local government distributes bounties for wanted criminals and finds employees for other undesirable jobs. The work may be tough, but the rewards are generally worth the effort.
